I live two miles from where Anne Smith Strong ("Nancy") lived, spied, and died. For years, I had no idea. And then one day, I started to notice all the signs for the Washington Spy Trail along the familiar roads. I began to read all the historical markers. I read the books and listened to the stories and talked to the local historians. And I discovered that there was history all around me -- and a tale I wanted to tell.
Even though this book is a work of fiction, the historical figures and events described are absolutely real. And Setauket itself is a real place! In this ten-stop tour are all the real-world locations that Rachel and Joon visit in Spy Ring.
